a doll house with blue shutters and ivy growing on it

I'm back after a few absent weeks. First, I went to the beach for a vacation. Then I took a couple of weeks to come up and build a new design. This is Heritage House. It's a smaller version of "Somewhere in France." This custom dollhouse is 23 3/4" tall x 18" deep x 19 1/2"across. The lights and fireplace mantle have battery operated light. The outside walls are plaster. Inside is very open. There are 3 flickering bulbs in the mantle. I hope you enjoyed your visit! Thanks for coming over…

a doll house made out of cardboard with flowers on the windows

My newly finished piece is a commission for Kee. It's a Nantucket style home. 1/12 scale. This house is 20" x 18 1/2" x 19 1/2" tall. All the greenery and flowers are from Hobby Lobby. Check my 'resources' page. The path is sand you can find in the candle filler section at craft stores. I use white glue on the path and sprinkle the sand over. Push down to make sure the sand makes contact with the glue and let dry. Then tap off the excess. There are 2 switches hidden in the chimney. One for…

a doll house with ivy growing on the side of it's roof and windows

Weekend Chateau dollhouse is done and ready to ship to her new owner Debbie. I actually got the name of this house from one of Debbie's messages. She described it as a weekend chateau and I thought that would be a perfect name. This dollhouse is just like "Somewhere in France" which I made a couple months ago. There are a couple of changes here and there. The house is 26 3/4" tall x 22" deep x 23 1/2" across. I tried adding a little porch roof over the door and a longer porch floor that…

My new house is French Kiss, a 1/12 scale custom dollhouse with lots of French flair. This house measures 15 1/2" deep x 16 1/2" across x 20 1/2" tall. The interior is for downstairs including the conservatory : 12" deep with an extra 1" at the door. 15 1/2" across x 8 1/4" tall. The conservatory by itself is 4 1/4" x 11" deep x 9 3/4" at the tallest part. The upstairs is 11 3/8" x 11 3/4" x 8 1/2" tall. French Kiss dollhouse is available in my Etsy shop: www.cinderellamoments.etsy.com

a doll house with all the furniture and accessories

I've finished furnishing Swan Ridge for Barbara. This house is covered in dried flowers and real greenery. No plastic. I found the chairs and tables at Hobby Lobby. They are part of a set with a bench. So I bought 2 sets to have 2 chairs. I love bunting. I think it makes any house look so festive and romantic. The 2 windows are the type that slide open. This little mailbox was the last piece I made for the house. The porch was just missing something. You can see a tutorial for the mailbox…

a doll house with furniture and accessories on the top floor is shown in this image

The Paris Shop and Apartment custom dollhouse is ready. The shop is called L'embellie. It is a fond memory of Paris it's new owner Gail. The house is 19 1/2"across x 17 3/4 deep x 24 1/4" with the chimney.(21 3/4"tall for just the structure.) The downstairs room is 18 1/4"across x 141/4" deep x 11' tall. Upstairs is 9"tall. Gail's vision was for an old Paris building with plenty of feminine touches. The 2 bay windows are handmade. I needed something tall. And any pre-fabricated ones would…

a doll house with stairs and chandelier in front of the door, sitting on top of a table

And now Whispering Brook Cottage dollhouse with some character added! I tried to photograph the aqua house and lavender door. But it does not really show up well. The aqua looks more like a light green on the photos. The house is 18 1/2" tall x 17" across x 18" deep. There is just a touch more blue in the green that does not really show up in the pictures. The aging is done with brown ink pads. You can use hard bristle brushes to get into tiny space. The medallion above the window is by…

a doll house with furniture and accessories inside it, including a chair and table in the room

I wanted The Sweet Life dollhouse to be a super cozy place with lots of vintage charm. To welcome you home, I made a little front yard. This house is 18 1/2" tall x 15" wide x 14" deep. I made little pavers out of concrete. Use water to dip your knife or spatula to shape your stone. It will help things not stick. Same principle as icing. You can find all the materials I use on the 'resources' page. It's hard to see in the photo, but that's a crystal in the door knob. I used real chalkboard…

an old fashioned doll house with furniture and decor

I made a little house. Just one room inside. And a covered porch for good measure! This house is 15 1/4" deep x 12 1/2" across x 16 1/4" tall. Inside is 13 3/4" tall x 10" across x 11" deep. The outside has bricks and plaster with a stone foundation under the porch. Flowers and vines are linked on my "Resources" page. For this house I chose a screen door. I found it at Hobby Lobby and waited to use it on the perfect project. It has such nice details. I made the door knobs with beads I…

a doll house is shown with furniture and decor

This is Pearl Cottage. I found this lantern in the scrapbook section! It's battery operated. I hid the 2 AA batteries under the house. To turn it on you just have to plug it in. I had to make little bees for this one. They are clay bees and a clay beehive. I just love this siding look on a dollhouse. It's very Swedish, very simple and super cute. The vines are Hobby Lobby regular floral department vines. They just get cut into small pieces to be mini sized. The interior lights have the…
