How to make a simple concertina sketchbook from a single sheet of paper.

This weekend I had lots of fun with some of my raggy doll sisters in Solihull on a class with a talented artist Karen Stamper. And here is what I made… six pages in a concertina sketchbook…

There’s something about a concertina sketchbook; the format seems so perfect for the narrative I wish to convey. It goes on and on and on. You can fold the book in various ways so different landscapes appear; a never-ending source of delight!

Much of what goes on sale in the Artful Kids store goes through a ‘testing’ process when it arrives. This is partly for practical reasons, and partly because we often can’t resist trying the products out. This was certainly the case with one of the latest arrivals, the Concertina Sketchbook. I’d heard of these before, but not often seen them, and was therefore quite keen to try one out.
