BLIND CONTOUR PAINTING

Blind contour drawing Students draw 6-7 blind contour drawings of various objects, people or body parts. Think in 3D - When drawing contour lines, it’s crucial that see see through the entire form, not just the silhouette. Make sure that you are imagining the other side of the form, even if you can’t see it. 2.) Following Perspective - As your form begins to turn, anything coming towards us will result in your contour line shifting angles. For example, as the cylinder reaches the ground plane, the contour gets more circular. 3.) Dissection - This technique was learned through @peterhanstyle Dynamic Sketching class. It involves you drawing the form as a frame and slicing a chunk out of it to see what’s inside.
