There are two things i remember most about my grandma. One is her famous black cows (the root beer float kind) and the other is her amazing pies. I was only around five years old when she died, but still, i can vividly remember walking through the back door of her farmhouse kitchen and being overcome by the aroma of fresh baked pies. They were laid out on the table, multiple pies at a time. I remember the lattice tops with cherry filling oozing out and apple pies, the centers piled high :)…
