I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled the past several months for some chunky new/old lamps at our local thrift stores to replace the tall, thin ones we have in our master bedroom. These lamps are made from giant quartz crystals, carved out at the base to have a space for a small light. They are about 12" to 20" tall and perhaps 6" or more wide. I felt pretty mixed about seeing them: as a grouping, it was attractive. But it does seem somehow soooo "commercial" to have descrated the crystals this way. Hmmmm.

These are really neat, and would go well in any bedroom in the home, adult or kid. The quartz crystal is backlit, and isn't too bright to be overbearing, but is bright enough to have a nice, warm glow.
