Hannah 🦁 | Wavy Curly Haircare on Instagram: "Save for the clumpiest curls!✅ ➰ While curls naturally come in different clump sizes and curl patterns, technique can play a huge part in how juicy your curl clumps turn out. ➰ If you’re at the start of your curly hair journey and recovering from damage, your curls may appear less clumpy, mine have definitely got clumpier as my hair has become healthier! ➰ From experience, my curls turn out stringier when I style on damp hair compared to soaking wet hair (see my recent definition vs volume YouTube vid📺). ➰Diffusing instead of air drying helps set the curl clumps in place, whereas water weight can weigh the curls down as they air dry. Let me know if these tips help!💬 . . #curlyhairprobs #stringycurls #curlyhairhacks #curlyhairroutine #

Tara Bohm on Instagram: "Curl scrunching vs curl training... which one works better? I think the video will clear this RIGHT up, but let's break it down a little. ⤵️ First up, these are two different techniques with two VERY different results. When you train the curls, you’re allowing the hair to absorb moisture and for uniformity to take better place. This leads to better health and shape of the overall curl pattern. In my experience, I can go dayssss without having to wash or refresh just from taking the extra time to curl train! When you scrunch and go, you allow the curl to be squeezed. This gives less definition but rather a loosely/ kinked curl. If your goal is seeing more of those separate curls and definition (and better moisture)... I think the difference is pretty clear!! ?

 - The style was often used as a way to achieve a polished look without resorting to chemical treatments, which was particularly significant during a time when many African-American women faced societal pressures to conform to Eurocentric beauty standards.

My trick is also to brush your hair dry before washing, saves so much time and makes my hair shed less too! 2. I don’t remember the last time I used a curl cream bc most of the time it’s too heavy for my hair, that’s why I often opt for a leave-in! I use @curlysecret Protein Bomb Leave-In here which is not only moisturizing but will also give your hair body bc of the protein. 3. Having a water spray next to you is sooo handy since your hair has to have enough water in order to form those juicy curl clumps. I used @curlysecret spray bottle here! 4. Section and apply your choice of stylers! I used @curlysecret Popping Curls Styling Gel and Volumizing Curl Foam. Both lightweight
