two pieces of paper are folded together on the floor

Had a request from a friend to make a purse organizer for her large purse. I pulled up one of my first tutorial posts from September 1, 2011. It was actually the very first thing I made with the Ellisimo. The post was appropriately titled In the Beginning. (I have learned since to give my posts a more clear title so google can find the actual projects.) The goal of this blog was to share ideas using more pictures than words, thus jots and shots. an open purse sitting on top of a snow covered ground next to a white wall

I've been working on a purse insert for my toiletries - mostly to use when I travel. I finally finished it and am in the process of writing up the pattern. It has two zippered pockets. Each side has two pockets - one made from fabric and one made out of mesh. It's 11" long, 7" tall, and about 4" wide. It took me about 2 hours to make - but I made all my own binding - which takes more time. But overall, it's a fairly simple project - I think these make great gifts! UPDATE! I've added snaps~
