Effigy of Siegfried von Schwalbach (+27. June 1497). This effigy has an interesting history. Siegfried died in a conflict known as the 'Bopparder Krieg" (the Boppard war) with the Archbishop of Trier Johann II in the summer of 1497 along with his squire while defending the Balzpforte (Balz gate) of the fortress city of Boppard.
