I first learned of Vivian Maier in a photo history class at my university and she's been a major source of inspiration since. Vivian was an American street film photographer who captured over thousands of photos in the second half of the twentieth century while living in New York City. Her work, however, was only discovered in 2007 by a man named John Maloof at a local thrift auction house in Chicago. Half and Half Challenge

Today’s photo challenge is “half and half” so I chose a few pictures cut in the middle. I was spoiled for choice today. Above is a shop keeper having a smoke at her door-step.
