Once one of the most famous child performers in 1950s America, original Disney Mouseketeer Dennis Day hasn't been seen in seven months.

For many Mickey Mouse Club fans, it was a misconception that what we saw on our TV sets in the 1950s was the original Mickey Mouse Club, particularly when several “new” MMC revivals popped up on The Disney Channel decades later. It turns out that there were scores of Mickey Mouse Clubs located throughout the United States during the 1930s.

“Whose club is celebrating an anniversary today? M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! 🥳 Happy anniversary to The Mickey Mouse Club, which made its debut on this day in 1955.”

The world lost one of its brightest stars earlier this year when original Mouseketeer Annette Funicello lost her long battle with multiple sclerosis.
