I was in a production of Beauty and the Beast this past Christmas. There have been many forms of this show put up, everywhere from Broadway to high school gyms. With these many venues and budgets, comes the creative costuming work. I played the role of Mrs. Potts. This fun gown was found on Amazon and we bought two for each cast’s housekeeper. I removed the lace appliqués from the back and removed the train. That fabric gave rise to the #spout for her right arm. Finally, I channeled the bottom of the dress so a strap was left loose when she was #human and then cinched up as t
