This image represents the idea that the people and their destinies are controlled by something. In this image, the three hands represent the three fates and they are controlling a human-like figure that I imagine to be Macbeth. The fates said that they were going to take revenge on a woman by making it so her husband would never sleep. I feel that this image represents how the fates seemed to control Macbeth, especially through the prophecies.
