From Neah Bay, it is a short 10 minute drive to Cape Flattery, the northwest tip of the Lower 48. The hike to get the to the tip where the Cape is located is only 1.5 mile through a beautiful Coastal Forest. Since Cape Flattery is on the Makah Reservation, you need to get a permit to hike the trail

This was a stunning day hike we did on the Olympic Peninsula along the Washington Coast, just outside the small town of Neah Bay on the Makah Reservation. I hope to backpack it next time!
