Old elephant drawing

Coloring books are all the rage… for the kindergarten set and for grown ups too. You could say it's a fad, but there's nothing quite like putting pencil or crayon to paper and seeing pure creativity flow out, no matter your age.

The first time I tried to draw an elephant, my drawing looked like a big grey blob with ears. I was frustrated because I couldn't get the shape right or figure out how to draw the trunk. But I didn't give up. Instead, I looked for simpler ways to break down the drawing into more manageable parts. I learned to start with basic shapes and slowly add details, like the ears and trunk.
