This is Rome's breathtaking garden of oranges, the Giardino degli Aranci. Arrive as dusk begins to fall and the sky turns a startling shade of orange, more orange even than the fruits on the trees that give the park its name. Birds swoop and dive into the fiery sunset as Michelangelo's dome of St Peter's soars into the sky far across the city - and yet, as if by magic, suddenly you feel like you can almost reach out and touch his wonderful creation.
