Years ago, this strange scented geranium sprouted as a seedling in my garden. I gave it to Robin Parer of Geraniaceae who propagated it and named it 'Colocho' (which means 'curly'). It has a pleasant rose scent. There is a form called P. graveolens 'Bontrosai' that is very similar but has a lemon/citrus scent.

It is in leaf all year, in flower from May to July. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs). Suitable for: light (sandy) and medium (loamy) soils and prefers well-drained soil.
