Today's Free 4 All challenge was to color block on our project. I decided to create a little paper quilt with some of my Stella & Rose scraps from My Mind's Eye. After laying them all out and adhering them to my cardstock base, I paper pierced around every single square. I then used an archival pen to make a faux zig zag stitch around the squares. This is a quilt card I made back in January at my up line's (Chris Smith) home. I added the embossed flower using the Daydream Medallions stamp set along with the SAB stamp set Madison Avenue. These two stamp sets work well together. The flower petals were made with the Floral Frames Framelits die. This is the quilted card adapted to an A2 size card. I ran the quilt through the Cuttlebug/damask folder and added a sentiment that I've had around for awhile.

I found a great use for scraps....make them into a quilt block to be used on a card or scrapbook page! The template for these cards is on the Scrapedia website. In order to make the quilt block the "main attraction" I kept the rest of the card fairly simple. Some faux stitching with Sharpie markers, and a simple Word Border Stamp (Hero Arts) completes the card. I'll have the horizontal version of these same colors for your tomorrow. This is a card I made for my good friend & fellow NEPA Giggler, Susan. I punched 7 hexagons & taped them together on the back before adhering them to the Mellow Moss cardstock. To give the quilted effect I ran it through the Big Shot using the SU Square Lattice embossing folder. TFL!

The design for this one comes from Australian Simply Cards magazine, Issue 64. I've used Basic Grey's Eva 6x6 paper pad and cut the paper into 1cm strips which I've stuck onto a panel that's slightly smaller than the card front. More pretty colours!
