Flowing Rhythm. This picture depicts flowing rhythm as there is repetition but instead of a regular pattern there is a movement of patterns.

Rhythm - The pattern has been repeated across the design to create a rhythm.

Rhythm - In this poster, the repetition of the fumes escaping from the factory fulfils the principle of rhythm.

The fish shapes flow together in the same direction so that they share the common fate of turning into the bigger fish seen at the top right of the picture.

Rhythm in art is important because it can make a piece more interesting to look at. It might be the lines, or colors that create this rhythm. A lot of times we see patterns and rhythms in nature - like waves crashing on the beach, trees swaying in the breeze, and shadows created by sunlight passing through leaves.
