Well I've been cracking on with a load of stuff that needed doing this week, plus I've had a few fire fighter call-outs, so today I rewarded myself with a morning of card making! Fractured card layouts provide the illusion of a fractured card. Best of all, it’s super easy to create and greeting card ideas are literally endless. This layout is also known as a faux shutter card in paper crafting. Use your stamping supplies to stamp random backgrounds or add your favorite designer paper to fractured sections. I wanted to have another play with the Half Shutter die set (Divinity Designs) and this is what I came up with. Both the chipboard and patterned paper (Stamperia) I've had for several years but I've been working on using both up and I'm almost there! Below you can see the card opened up - they stand so nicely for display! I rarely use chipboard ephemera because I find them too bulky for mailing but for these ones I peeled off several layers from the back and that worked out really well…
