I found this in the compost heap. It appears to be a slime mould in a productive stage (the photos that show black bits emerging, I presume, although maybe it is the whole plant-like growth. Shot 2 of 3 - the next morning with dew: Sept 29 9:20AM. I brought a flash, but I'm pretty sure that instead of using it electronically, I just reflected the sunlight off the glass on the back. If you look hard in the water droplet on top, you can see my hands with the spot of light between them and my receding hairline peeking over the top.
