The name of this three-speed vehicle combines the first names of Arliss Sluder and his wife Beth, from Montana. It took Arliss 7 years of labour and over 5000 hand made parts to build this little car. Top speed was 70 km/h with its 2 cylinder 13 hp Onan engine and it drove 80 kms on a gallon. In 1993 the Guinnes Book of Records called it the smallest street legal car in the world: 102 cm wide and 229 cm long. Arliss cruised over 22,000 km with his microcar. This nice five window microcar is a one-off custom-built coupe created by George S. Brauks, a St. Louis, Missouri foundry pattern maker and carriage builder. The front of the car is a 1937 Hudson Terraplane 2 door coupe. The rear part seems to be a 1936 DeSoto. The entire car was narrowed lengthwise on the centerline to create a narrow body width. The picture is slightly photoshopped; the rusty spots are repainted.
