In November 2018, we had the unforgettable experience of witnessing the awe-inspiring Yi Peng Lantern Festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Yi Peng is a traditional festival celebrated on the full moon of the second month of the Thai lunar calendar. It is a time for paying homage to Buddha and making merit. The highlight of the festival was when the city transformed into a celestial wonderland as monks, locals and visitors alike released lanterns and krathongs, creating a breathtaking scene.
