I was floored by these guys. The Beatles started the wave, but these guys rode it well. I even had a maroon corduroy jacket modeled after outfits they wore on an album cover. Dave Davies was my first guitar hero. He's still at it as well as Ray, though they can't stand each other. Their music kind of lost it though, around the time of Arthur, until Lola came out. That was pretty good because we saw plenty of Lolas in Madrid on the street corners around the Iron Horse (had to be there to relate).
