How can I best my best self if I don’t know my true identity? There is a big difference between being who you are and being who you were created to be.

I never understood that God saw me a different way than I saw myself until a few years ago. I learned that I was seeing myself through eyes of betrayal, hurt and rejection and in turn was constantly striving for approval and perfection.
