I still cannot believe we have my husbands grandma's piano in our home! It means so much to me and I know she is proud. The boys play it daily which I'm super impressed with. They have taught themselves a few songs over the past week. Ps. I'm in between that weird Christmas/Winter stage in our home. I'm keeping everything white and frosted out for winter decor and I'm liking it so far.

Repurposed antique upright piano into a desk for my office. This is my most favorite project to date.

Is it worth the time and effort to pick apart an old piano for scrap? My next door neighbor has an old beat up one that he's looking to get rid of and he offered it to me, but before I take it or not take it, I just wanna know if I should use my time for breaking other stuff down if there isn't much inside a piano worth picking it apart for, or if it's worthwhile to dissect it.

I had an old upright piano which was only decorative. I also had a digital piano and found the standard keyboard stands boring. I decided to combine the two: I removed the old piano keys, cut a hole the size of the digital keyboard and slipped it within the old piano frame. It was a fun little DIY project, and I love how it looks.

This beautiful upright piano was the most elaborate, highest grade piano in the Fischer product line. A full-size “upright grand”, this model was known to rival the sound of large grand pianos built by their competitors.
