Winter cards handmade

While today's wintry scene card handmade with die cuts was designed to be a holiday card, a simple sentiment swap and something different in the classic red pickup truck bed would turn this into the sweetest all occasion winter greeting card. For my One Layer Christmas Card this month - #15 Anything Goes with a twist Candy Cane I thought I'd try something different. I've made a snowman card by hand cutting the shape from the top panel card edge - I lightly drew the snow, hat and banner as a guideline and then used markers to colour the parts - I deliberately didn't draw in the left hand side of the snowman. I decided on a window themed card. I keep the design fairly simple. I used a stamp from Delicious Doodles called A Robin�s Christmas. I coloured the Christmas ornaments red, but left the rest of the image black and white. I framed the image with the small Memory Box � Madison Window Die. For my Dots and Stripes, I embossed the background wall using two folders: small dot pattern and a stripe pattern. I used three stickers from Kaisercraft to finish off the card.

This is the last of my sELFie series cards. Chris' colors this week were not as overly "Christmas" as the others so I went with the snowmen for this selfie. I got dessert in with the pumpkin pie for their nose color. I will admit that when I first saw dessert was "Pumpkin Pie" I thought actual PIE and started trying to fit a pie in somehow. Then I realized it was the COLOR not the pastry and that made things much easier!
