Yellow and blue quilts

Interesting way to blend fabrics in specific colors...

Had left over fabric from Mom's quilt and wanted to use it up. So I made another double slice layer cake pattern. Quilted it myself with the edge to edge program from Ameliescott. Worked great on my brand new Brother VM 5100.

Simple and elegant. Yellow and blue toile alternated with yellow and blue nine patch blocks. Blue floral backing.

This is the first larger quilt that I have made. I used Jenny's tutorial on the Double Slice Layer Cake and it's a great project for a newer quilter like me. I also wanted to quilt my own quilt, and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be! I love seeing this quilt on my family room couch and snuggling up with it.
