The pale grey basalt has been roughly worked into revealing our “odd couple”, then polished to a fine sheen, especially on their bellies.

His expression is determined but satisfied, his body posed as if holding his spear, about to make his final, fatal thrust.

Interesting how the unpolished definition of it's facial features hold an odd pink/orange hue.

The artist has carved pretty wing tip and tail feather details, adding to its over-all attractiveness.
