Our Pepper Mills are individually hand-crafted, signed and numbered pepper mills designed by gifted artists Ron and Robyn McKinney. Like Sara Moulton's, no two pepper mills are exactly the same and all are created in limited editions. Each pepper mill is crafted from hand-picked exotic woods collected from around the world.

Laudanum, alcoholic tincture of opium, sometimes sweetened with sugar (very bitter tasting), also called wine of opium. 18th and 19th centuries were marked by the widespread use of laudanum, cheaper than a bottle of wine, when available, and not taxed as an alcoholic beverage. Addictive properties were not yet known, principle use was an an analgesic and cough suppressant in times when "cholera and dysentery regularly ripped through communities. . ."
