ACCRA (GHANA) ::: Accra is the capital and largest city of Ghana. The word Accra is believed to be derived from the Akan word nkran, meaning "ants", a reference to the numerous anthills seen in the countryside around Accra. Central Accra is compact, centered around the historical British, Danish, and Dutch forts. Accra has a total area of 200 sq km's, & is the anchor city of the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA). Accra features a tropical savanna climate that borders on a semi-arid climate.
