In the lessons from Johan Voorhorst, we can make this scale model from foamboard but I haven't start at this yet. I think I'm going to make the trees and the pedestal from foam but I'm going to make an imitation from wood on it. It is difficult but for another product we already have worked with wooden imitations, so it's not the first time to make it. I'm not sure what materials I'm going to use for the deer and the branches but I'm thinking of a sheet for them to make them look…

This is the actual 3D-model I made. Here you can see the branches I promised you in the last picture. At first my plan was to make the branches come out next to the deer so around the pedestal but that didin't work as I planned. Than I figured out I could plant the trees a bit further from the deer. So I did and it turned out to be better than my first thought. The teacher liked it to so got a G behind my name.

Part 2 This is a scale model and if this was real and it has to be placed somewhere in my town, the deer should be brass and the branches shoud be made of glass so you can see through them. The pedestal should be made from marble. In the lessons from Anja we make this and in the lessons from Johan, we make another scale model but that should be made of foam.

Part 1 This is a picture of my wayfinding point. It is a deer. I made a deer because in my town, the deer is a logo. It's a logo becuase there are many deers in the forest.(There are also many wild boars in the forest by the way, but that was to hard to make out of only one piece of paper.) Around the deer, there should be some branches but I don't have a picture from that.

This is my final result. I made all of this from foamboard and painted it. The trunks are also made from foamboard but to let it look like wood, I made little stripes on the foam. I did this, because when you paint the trunk, most of the paint goes into the stripes and you see darker spots that look like wood. A wood-imitation. I gave the branches a light-green color. The plate where everything stands on is green.

this is the collage we had to made. In this collage there had to be several things in it. for example the name of the place where you put you're wayfinding. in my case that was Epe. There had to be a photo of your sketch model in it, and you had to show your progress from sketch to the end. On the back of the paper had to be an analysis of your bad and good points. this had to be done with another student. I did this with Gerline.

It's not a really good picture to see, but this is the sketch I made for the model. As I said before it didn't work like that on the picture with the branches.

This picture is also part of an asignment. We had look for different types of wood. We had to choose from: plywood, hardboard, softboard, aluminum, blockboard and a few more. We must choose 4 different types. From every wood we needed two pieces. Because we would paint one with water-based paint and one with solvent-based paint to spot differences.

This period, we have 22 products to do in ten weeks. It´s a bit more than the first period, with 15 products. There´s no one big product to make, but several things we have to do. We have to make three or four panels and a couple other small asignments. This picture is one of them. We had to make pictures in our own town with regard to ´wayfinding´. With those pictures we have to make our own wayfinding point. And make a collage with the pictures.
