Chronically tight hips not only can make certain yoga poses difficult to perform, they can also be the cause of major discomfort, particularly in the lower back and legs. This BOSU workout is designed to make hip-opening yoga postures easier to perform, while also reducing tightness in the hips.
Stretch of the Week: Gate Pose - Athletico
May’s third stretch of the week is taken from yoga, called the Gate Pose. This stretch targets the sides of the body and inner thighs.
Stretch of the Week: Pigeon Stretch with Bosu® Ball - Athletico
May’s final stretch of the week is the Pigeon Stretch, performed on the Bosu® Ball for added stability and strength. This stretch (just like May’s other stretches) can also be performed without a Bosu® Ball.
