10.21.2013 OG PIN: molasses...its not slow BTW! Whoever made up that cliche is an idiot & a liar! :-) ...made a breakfast of oatmeal, milk, blkstrap molasses, golden raisins & vanilla extract this morning...for the first & last time - it was the most wonderful healthy breakfast experience that I never want to have again :-)
Newfoundland Molasses Raisin Tea Buns. Perfect for an afternoon cuppa!
Molasses Raisin Tea Buns ~ combine AP flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg; cut in butter; stir in raisins; add molasses, milk and vanilla extract and mix to form a dough; roll to 1" thick, cut buns and place in baking pan; bake until done, cool slightly and serve warm or store until serving time, enjoy!
