Since Mrs. Maiju Gebhard launched her idea in 1945 of the Drying Cabinet for Dishes, the Finns have used it. The hand-washed dishes, pots and pans are rinsed and left to dry above the kitchen sink. This has remained merely a Finnish oddity, also seen somewhere in Sweden and Italy. Not all the households have dishwashers, not everything can be washed in them. Once everything is dry, you replace them into their original place. No need to dry anything by hand.
