The three cups of tea are drank at the wedding ceremony: The first is bitter, the second is sweet, and the third is called "reflection" and has a spicy flavor. If you are in Dali and wish to drink the three course tea, look for restaurants serving 三道茶 (san dao cha). This particular tea ceremony took place at the wedding show performance in Shaxi Ancient Town under the main Shaxi town gate. Inquire at the ticket office.
