This is amazing.  I have wanted to throw wild flower seeds in my yard's bare patches for years but was too scared. What was I scared of?  This is beauty au naturel!

June 18/09. Common names for this flowering species vary depending on location, and the plant is very widespread throughout the Canadian and American west and midwest, reaching as far east as Ontario. I've heard "Three-flowered Avens" and "Old Man's Whiskers", but I find Prairie Smoke the most apt - and poetic.

Queen of the Prairie is known for its beautiful spray-like clusters of pink flowers that make it a stand out and give it its regal name. The leaves are large and deeply lobed on zigzag stems, and the plants grow to 5 feet tall. It's best grown in full sun (although they can take some shade), and prefers moist to wet soils.
