Some places we enjoyed on a recent trip to Bali
Warung Biah Biah, inexpensive Balinese tapas and, important for us, excellent tempeh options.
Delicious Padang restaurant with outstanding fried chicken and many other choices, recommended to us by many, RM Minang.
This is not unlike most breakfasts at hotels in Ubud but thought it warranted a pin anyway. Pandan banana pancake with palm sugar and coconut, fruit salad and watermelon juice, from Ani's Villas.
Artilcle on good meals under $5 in Bali
Crispy duck fried to be so crunchy that you can even eat the bones, at Bebek Bengil, the Dirty Duck Diner.
Bridges, like a Quebec City resto hiding out in Ubud, with a lot of attention to wine and Quebec City prices. Thai barramundi in sesame with crab and mango salad. Lovely upscale place.
Ronaji Restaurant at the Antonio Blanco Museum, duck three ways (all good) and fabulous view.
Warung Pulau Kelapa, one of our favourite places ever, Javanese specialties. Pictured here is the pecel biltar, fried squid and chicken satay.
