These guys are almost 6 weeks old, and will be processed at 8 weeks. We move them every single day to fresh pasture, and have a specific feed schedule we created to allow them the opportunity to forage naturally. Each shelter takes us about 5 minutes to move, feed chickens, replace the wire panels, and fill up their water. Although we like to haul our feed buckets out with our John Deere, this method of pasture-raising chickens requires no heavy equipment or gas. Everything can be done by one person and by hand.
