Frieda Tuma will be demonstrating & selling Pysanky eggs on July 19th from 8 am till 5 pm. Pysanky is a Czech tradition of “egg writing” developed centuries ago in Eastern Europe as a method of decorating non-boiled eggs. Tuma painstakingly draws designs on the eggs in pencil before using wax and dyes to color eggs. The eggs are then drained through a tiny hole before a coat of varnish is applied to protect the dyes.
