Refugee homes built from plastic bottles. These circular houses in Algeria's desert refugee camps are made from sand-filled bottles. Many live in tents or houses built using baked bricks. In a place where temperatures regularly rise above 50C in the summer, they're totally unsuitable. To combat that, 27-year-old engineer Tateh Lehbib Braica has designed and built a number of houses using waste plastic to provide shelter for the people living in these extremely harsh weather conditions.
