Facebook’s AI lab has designed a (ro)bot animation that can mimic human facial expressions through an artificially intelligent algorithm – an algorithm that learned everything it knows from watching people talk to each other on Skype.  According to New Scientist, the AI watched hundreds of videos, learning the expressive nature of humans during Skype conversations – the non-verbal facial cues, like nodding, blinking, and smiling.

Stroke order is an important element of Chinese calligraphy. Having the wrong order could lead to ink falling differently thus making cursive characters indistinguishable. There are a few key rules to follow:  Characters should be written from top to bottom. Characters are written from the left to right. Horizontal strokes are prioritized over vertical strokes.

Refugee homes built from plastic bottles. These circular houses in Algeria's desert refugee camps are made from sand-filled bottles. Many live in tents or houses built using baked bricks. In a place where temperatures regularly rise above 50C in the summer, they're totally unsuitable. To combat that, 27-year-old engineer Tateh Lehbib Braica has designed and built a number of houses using waste plastic to provide shelter for the people living in these extremely harsh weather conditions.

Tateh Lehbib Braica – aka ‘the crazy bottle guy’ – has built circular houses that protect from wind and sun from waste plastic bottles.
