Tony Foard: DAILY MUSE: Describes himself as an English potter, hand builds each female figure using white clay. Each sculpture is fired several times in sections and they all have a distinctively African feel to them. The color often comes from controlling the way the smoke penetrates the surfaces, in addition to glazes and lustres. His goal is for each slender figure to have ‘Attitude’.
