This image shows Tutankhamun's pectoral with a scarab carved from the Libyan Desert Glass. Formed 28 million years ago, the glass was created when a comet exploded on impact and melted the desert sands.
Beautiful Egyptian design - Tutankhamun pectoral with solar and lunar elements. Cloisonné with carnelian, lapis lazuli, calcite, obsidian and coloured glass. At its centre is a chalcedony scarab, which has falcon legs and talons.
