vintage wall pocket with hand painted accents

Well, I'm really rocking this coastal vibe, so when I stumbled on this vintage wall pocket, I couldn't resist painting it up. I chose calypso blue for the base coat, then added a variation of sand and aqua accent on the face of the two pocket sections. then i hand painted a sand dollar on one pocket and a scallop shell on the other. i waxed the whole surface to protect the artwork. What a great way to give your room that touch of the ocean and it's useful for mail, keys, etc.
