Gymnast Olga Korbut, Belarusian, Soviet-born gymnast who won four gold medals and two silver medals at the Summer Olympics, in which she competed in 1972 and 1976 for the USSR team. At the 1972 Olympics, her acrobatics and open high level gymnastics brought her much fame.

70 Years of Seventeen!

Seventeen Korbut, a Russian gymnast had already won three gold medals (and a silver) at the 1972 Summer Olympics and would go on to win another in a year. She was also the first person to do a standing backward sommersault on bars.

Nadia Comăneci is a Romanian former gymnast, winner of three Olympic gold medals at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal and the first female gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic gymnastic event. She also won two gold medals at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, thus named one of the best.
