Mercurialis, an Italian physician, was especially intrigued with hygienic and medical literature from ancient Greece and Rome. He used the training and hygienic methods of the past to encourage his Renaissance peers to exercise... It is from the collection at the H.J. Lutcher Stark Center for Sports and Physical Culture.
