Epenetus Bennett and Frederick Haviland of Waterville, ME collaborated on a repeating design that was awarded Patent No. 603 on February 15, 1838. Each of the rectangular firing chambers rotate into position at the turn of the circular knob assembly. This gun’s 12-shot firepower was impressive, but only about ten were to be made.
