A blue and white Kangxi porcelain pot for the export market, China, 17th century, with Ottoman mounts
A fine and rare Chinese blue & white porcelain plate made during the Kangxi period, made specifically for export to the West. The design is distinctly unusual and was very probably taken from a Dutch or English Delft plate taken to China by a trader to be copied. It dates from around 1700 C.E.
