Amazing jacket pleated "Polish" glossy chintz of the late eighteenth century. The Indian top is ice percale tone on tone with a fine mesh vegetated blister cartridges oblique lines simulating weaving twill and lace background. The inner liners are reuses of older textiles including cotton and chintz thousand lines to tan background. Large hood gently folds cannon mounted on the envelope. Finely pleated ruched generous 18 cm around the cape and hood. Perfect condition and color retention.
