Georgia O'Keefe

Alfred Stieglitz [Georgia O'Keeffe] Amazing how very strong people seem to always have very strong faces!

Georgia O'Keefe (1887-1986) was considered one of America's most important artists well before the majority of women had access to any training at American institutions. Through an early focus in abstract imagery to her concentration on floral paintings and her subsequent depictions of New York City buildings and landscapes and imagery of the American Southwest, O'Keefe was a masterful artist with whatever subject she pursued.
