Vilmos Aba-Novák (1894-1941) was een Hongaars kunstschilder en graficus. Hij wordt gerekend tot het realisme, maar met sterke invloeden van het expressionisme. Hij studeerde van 1912 tot 1914 in Boedapest. Van 1921 tot 1923 werkte hij in de door schilders uit München opgerichtte kunstenaarskolonie in Roemenie. Deze groep werkte in een realistische, naturalistische stijl. Doel was het creëren van een nieuwe artistieke esthetiek waarin het gevoel van het volk werd weerspiegeld.
